We had pickle shots a couple times over the holidays and everyone that tried it ranged from "wow that was interesting" to "oh my god that is delicious". The number of people who thought it was gross after trying it was zero. You guys that are knocking it should try it. If you don't like it feel free to at that point, but my experience thus far is that you won't be knocking it.

Someone try the drunken stuntman next.

Pour yourself a shot of tequila, make a line of salt, and get a lime wedge ready.

Take the shot, snort the salt, and squirt the lime in your eye. You will completely forget the tequila shot you just took.

I tried it during the holidays at "No Che". Their "pickle" juice was from pickled tomatoes. It was... interesting. :-)

:-) Now you may knock it. :-)

I bought a bottle of Seagram's Canadian today for the sole purpose of pickle shots. :-)

How did you like Noche? We were thinking of trying it during restaurant week.

The best pickle shots that I've had are still PYT's.

I'll probably try it again. Tried it this time with southern comfort. The two did not mix.
I'll try a real whiskey next time.

Oh good god, no wonder. Even I wouldn't do it with Soco! :-)

Ok, so I finally just went and tried this about 5 minutes ago.

My short review:
Total. Waste. Of. Good. Pickle. Juice.

We must be talking about two different spots. The Noche, I went to is next to Drinkers at the corner of 18th and Chestnut. It's a watering hole, not a restaurant week venue.

Next time I'm drinking, I will make sure to try one of these. It sounds disgusting, but worth a shot.

The real question is, who's up for a toughman shot.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tough_man_shot <=====I just created that Wikipedia page. I feel so cool.
