lol. I'm in the market for a new desktop humi (100+ count instead of the 20 ct one).

I will admit that I did browse around a little too. But it's actually a nice safeguard that they only accept credit cards, and not payypall. I only pay cash for consumables.

I can honestly say that I have never - never - bit on anything on c-bid. I know there are people who curse this site, call it evil, and whatnot, but I have never seen anything there that too my monetary eyes was ever a big enough bargain to bid on.

I watch for sales and get better deals.

I stopped using C-Bid for Cigar purchases. They only get me for the occasional purchase of what they call merchandise. I have been watching towers very closely lately but most of the time people bump them up so high that I could order it direct from another vendor for a few bucks more. Not enough savings for me to get excited and jump on it. Now Cigar Auctioneer is a different story. If you watch the smokes you like and pay close attention every once in awhile you can practically steal some of the boxes. This is part of the reason why I am filled to full capacity box wise and have broken my old rule of making no online purchases in the summertime.

In before this thread becomes irrelevant.

I guess I'm way late for that one.

Of interest, currently up for bid is a box of La Perla Habana Black Pearl robusto' which two individuals have current bids of $40 each.

On CI, you can order these for $39.95 each...

Question:
If I use the Buy it Now option at CBID, do I still have to wait until the auction closes before it is shipped?

You'll probably have to check your shipping preference Andy. You can either check once per week (Thursday only) or daily (Mon - Fri)...
