I stop at this place nearly everytime I drive past it (Exit 17 off US23 in Dundee, Michigan). It is convienently on my drive to Michigan same exit as Cabellas :-)

http://www.beefjerkyunlimited.com/si...ch_results.php

I recomend the BBQ Buffalo, Original Alligator, Teriyaki Turkey and Honey or Hickory Beef. :-)
Also, they aren't listed on the site, but they make some great beef sticks and mini-pepperoni's, perhaps if you called they would mail them :-)

Also, I know there are some hot sauce lovers around here, and the entire back wall in the picture on the "Home" page is hot sauces, some are just nasty hot. I don't do hot stuff so maybe they aren't all as hot as described, but probably some stuff to make even the most adept hot tongue sweat a little :-)

Homemade is the way to go, easy to do, delicious, and fun!

:-) Another good thing about homemade is you can change the marinade to suit what you want, the "dryness", the size of cuts, etc. It can get pricey though

Sidenote: Venison jerky is where it's at!

There's a ton of jerky sellers on EBay. I used a couple of them and was pleased. Read about each one decide from there. Make sure it is whole pieces, not formed.

Can't beat this place. They make it themselves at the store and have a few different kinds. Price and shipping wasn't too bad last time I got some.

On their order page, there is a drop down window to select what country to ship to, so it does "appear" that they do ship internationally.
A call or email would be a good idea though.

I have to agree on the home-made thing. For under 50 bucks you can have a 4 level dehydrator, and here in TN, ol Piggly Wiggly puts whole cuts of meat in the cryo-pack from which I cut 12-15 thick-a$$ steaks, and the trimmings go in the dehydrator for jerky. Whole ribeyes, whole NY strip, Whole top sirloin, you name it. It's usually 1-2 dollars a pound less, and I like to cut my own meat anyway. I also agree that the experimentation factor is not to be over-looked. And for those heathens that go to the store on Sun morning when everybody else is in church, like me, you can almost always get reduced steaks and other meat marked way down that is perfectly fine for jerky, hell, regular eating too. Stay away from shoulder steak, but these huge slabs of chuck steak are good, and always available reduced, T-bones for some reason get reduced alot, sirloin, and especially, roasts that get sliced to pretend to be another cut of meat, they are just slightly expired roasts. Buy your meat on sale or reduced and freeze, or use trimmings from whole cuts. Bottom line is jerky is way too expensive to buy in stores if you like it alot, and making your own is fun and definitely cost effective. I like to also buy bulk garlic powder and bulk coarse ground black pepper. Salt is not necessary, since most folks do a quick wash of soy sauce or Dale's which completely takes care of the salt factor.

I highly recommend the Tillamook Country Smoker in Tillamook Oregon - www.tcsjerky.com . My sister lives near by in Vancouver Washington so she occasionally sends me some . The jerky from this place is the best I've ever had . :-)

If you can find a good South African foods site, try some Biltong. Great stuff. Try www.africanhut.com. I've ordered from there once.

Yep. This place is great. Stopped in there in August.

I've also ordered from The Beef Jerky Emporium online. They're located in Oklahoma in the heart of beef country.
