Well I gave them a shot today. Kind of. :-)

Was planning on doing some chicken thighs on direct heat in the Vision, so I thought I'd throw a few of these on to see how they'd turn out.

Figured I had all the ingredients needed so I lit the smoker, prepped the chicken, and started to prep the Bacon Bombs. Cut up the cheese, cut the biscuit dough per recipe, and reached for the bacon in the fridge. No bacon! What human doesn't have bacon in the fridge?

Checked the meat drawer for other options. Found some sliced ham, and some pepperoni. I thought what the hell, and worked with what I had.

Results? Cooked about 25 min @ 350 turning once. Would be better on indirect heat. Turned out ok.

The chicken was off the hook though.

Yah I know what I'm doing tomorrow, time for a trip to the store. I'll report back how many Stars of David they get on my Jew Bacon Goodness Scale, or JBGS.

Hmm I think there might have to be a couple Swiss and a couple Smoked Goudao ones.

I am going to make these for S.H.I.T. herf this week. :-)

If you want to serve them hot, I can fire up the smoker. You wouldn't have to mess with frying.
Your call.

I don't know how they would be off the smoker, or maybe I could make them at home and bring them and fry em at your place, I'll do the work. I think I'll make a few and then test reheating them or something before hand.

My smoker can get up to 450. I've done ABTs on it and they come out great.
I'd rather not have to hassle with frying.
