I'll just say that the ending was very unexpected.

Being as the last scene took place at the docks, I was expecting the two involved in the scene to go on board Dexter's boat and find a body, but quite the opposite happened.

Do you think it was the Trinity killer? I mean naturally I'd like to say yes, but it seems out of that guys M.O. to shoot people. Could it be Anton? Jealous rage maybe?

I was thinking Anton too. It's a bit of a stretch seeing he's so laid back and is not the most ambitious person in the world.:-)

I agree, however it's a little sloppy for the Trinity killer to shoot people and leave witnesses. :-)

I'm thinking it was Anton and Dexter is going to be sloppy in going after him which will cause a chance meeting with Trinity. Trinity will go after Dexter's family then things will get kooky.

I think it could go either way.

I like this theory.

Dexter also alluded to revealing his secret to his family on his last kill. If Scott's theory is correct, he may be forced to tell Rita. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I don't think that will happen.

That would take away something that makes Dexter different, his ability to lead a double life without the dark portion interfering with his normal life.

Not what I was expecting Trinity to go home to, but a nice twist. Rita is downright annoying.

While I get that Rita's plotline was a necessary annoyance to make Dexter more at home I just wish it wasnt so annoying. I guess though with his new shed and lock and key that plotline is hopefully over. I also thought it was cool how John Lithgow’s character helped Dexter be more normal or pretend to be.

Nice episode this week. A calm, quiet episode for a change of pace. Save the nail-biters for the last three episodes.

Anybody remember Harry and the Hendersons?
My memory of John Lithgow before 3rd Rock was of him playing more evil type characters, though I can't remember which movies. I think there was one with a young Denzel. In any case, I remember the discussion being that it was great seeing him in such a comedic role after all the evil roles.

Does anyone else remember that?
