What would you compare Master Blends by Oliva to??? I'm looking for a smoke that is as close as possible to them. The smoke, taste, smell & burn. It's not like you can find them that easy. :-)

Thanks,

Rico

In all honesty, for me the mb from oliva stands alone. One of the best smokes ever!

I agree -- these are pretty unique and very good.

Could not agree with you more, Scott. The reason I asked was because I'm down to my last four MB's 1's. I know I can't find them anywhere anymore. The #1's IMHO are the best not saying that the 2's & 3's are anything less. They are all top notch but I love the 1's

I've had the 2 and 3 have not had the 1 and it sounds like I'm missing out

You may want to check with bengalman (ian) he was or still is an oliva rep its been awhile since I've talked to him

Just be patient-they're still sitting on some of each and will eventually release them. They've been saying this for 3-4 years at least though.

I would love to try a MB1. The MB line is a great smoke. I have 1 MB3 left and I don't want to smoke it cause then I wont have any. I'll probably end up smoking it this weekend though.

If you like the Cain Daytona, I have a Daytona Nub(only 800 made) that I would be willing to trade you for one.

I like all three but the #1's just have the "IT" factor... The taste, smell, burn & smoke. All that together in one cigar is just great... :-)

I have smoked 2- #3's and they didn't do anything for me. I guess I'm in the minority.

I don't know why and maybe I just got a bad cigar. But I got an Oliva MB III and it was a terrible cigar. I threw it down it was so bitter.

:-)

Haven't tried one since. That said, I could smoke G's and V's all day long.

Yeah the 1's are long gone for the most part. I was actually at an event a few weeks ago and a customer found a sealed box of MB1's that the shop didn't even know about. Still in the cardboard box and everything. Crazy.

They've actually been released on a few occasions. Once at the Drapers Little Smoke, once at Tampa Humidor, once at The Party Source. The issue is that we don't have an even stock across the board of 1's and 2's. We have some robusto's, some churchill's, maybe no torpedo's, some have tattoo's, some don't, some are boxed, some are bundled, etc. You get the point. So we've occasionally put them in hand made humidors that are raffled off at special events.

They've only been at those particular events for the attendees of each event.

I believe the originals were 100% Nicaraguan wrapper, binder, filler

Much like the cloth banded Oliva's, these are pretty much just a distant memory to most...it's a pity. :-)

If I was given the choice to smoke ONE kind of cigar the rest of my like I think this would be it... The 100% Nicaraguan wrapper, binder & filler it just works for me... :-)

I had one MB1 and thought it was fantastic. I've gone through a box of MBIII churchills, and while I think they're good, I don't go out of my way to acquire any more.
