All Cigar Discussion>If you are an Anejo fan...........

If there are any Houston Asylum guys here who love Anejos, stop by the Briar Shoppe this weekend. They just got their Christmas delivery of Anejos/Opus which are marked well below msrp. Today I picked up a bunch of the #50s for $10.75/ea, and a couple 48's for around $11.50. I could be wrong but this is way cheap right? Unfortunately I don't think they ship. :-)

You may want to edit your post...sometimes B/M places get kicked in the nuts for advertising below MSRP pricing (even if it isn't THEM doing it). Not sure, but I heard that after I posted pics of my local B/M humi and some prices were visible.

It sucks but true. It should be free enterprise, the competition will keep the prices down.

ah yes, I remember a popular retailer getting in trouble for this kind of thing. I honestly believe the shop I mentioned isn't knowingly pricing their Anejos below msrp. I don't know if Fuente sets a minimum price on these either, but just in case, if a mod could kindly remove the shop's name from my earlier post, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think you're fine, here is what I believe is the most current MSRP pricing.

1. No.49 (7 5/8" x 49) ....................... MSRP = $10.50 x 25 per box = $262.50
2. No.48 (7" x 48) ............................. MSRP = $9.75 x 25 per box = $243.75
3. No.55 (6" x 55) ............................. MSRP = $10.75 x 25 per box = $268.75
4. No.77 aka "Shark" (5 5/8" x 54) .... MSRP = $10.25 x 20 per box = $205.00
5. No.46 (5 5/8" x 46) ....................... MSRP = $8.25 x 25 per box = $206.25
6. No.50 (5 ¼" x 50) ......................... MSRP = $9.00 x 25 per box = $225.00

good to hear. It makes you realize just how far these cigars are being marked up by certain retailers. The first time I decided to try an Anejo, (a 48 I believe) I think I paid around $23 for it. I had no idea this was more than double the MSRP.

I hear that brother. I asked a local B&M in Orlando (remain nameless) why they marked theirs up so much. The reply was "Because We Can" He went on to say that the people in the area are willing to pay that price they will charge it!!! I only purchase the occasional single stick there now.

One of my B&M here in town (the good one) has the #46 for $11.99. I guess it's somewhat reasonable...

Saw some Sharks at Tinder Box today (B/M) for about $14.xx today. $4/stick mark up generates a nice little profit........!
