Mithshrike stared a thread about your favorite stick, but I'm curious as to your best ever? The one that you compared all others too. I know it's hard to say as your tastes change and where, when and with whom you smoked, but is there one stick that just stands out in your memory as " Now this is what it's supposed to be like!"
For me it was a Cohiba Lancero followed closely by my first Oliva V.

I have to say it was the 07 RyJ EL Escudos or a Cohiba Esplendidos. now I've only had 2 RyJs and 1 of the Cohiba but those were the two that first stuck out in my mind.

Of course those Habanos Torres Ugly Sticks. Also I had an '06 Montecristo No. 2 a little while back that was excellent.

Well, as we are on this side of the fence....Camacho 11/18 Triple Maduro, Litto Gomez Diez Chisel Puro.

I've had some MC2s that have blown me away. As far as NCs go, I'd have to say a nicely aged Shark or Opus FF.

Sticking with Bob on this side of the fence it was an '05 Opus x Fuente Fuente gifted to me from Fred (macms)... it is the stick that made me believe in Opus and re-affirm my Fuente whore status...
:-)
In the top 5 was my first Casa Fuente I just smoked not too long ago... gifted to me by Dave (Opusfxd), and my first anejo 46... I still remember turning a lighter shade of white smoking it, but damn was it good!
Those are the 3 that stick out the most for the Non CCs...
:-)

Mine oddly enough is a stick that I loved to Mutha F all the time until I had that one. I smoked an Opus X Perfection X with roughly 3 years of age it. I honestly have to say that it was the end all be all of every smoke I have ever had in my life. So much so that I went from pretty much being an Opus hater to running out and getting a bunch just so I can lay them down to smoke a couple years from now although one of the Power Rangers may meet an untimely death just for experimental purposes.
:-) Before this every Opus I have ever had left me with a feeling like I was just robbed after smoking them.

Toss up between my first Camacho Triple Maduro, probabaly cause I thought it was just a gimmick and gonna be crappy, yet amazingly good, and the Camacho Scorpion gifted by my BABOTL buddies. Man that's almost a perfect smoke.

Maybe it was just the setting but I would have to say a Cohiba Piramide 2006 when they first came out. Great cigar with great memories.

Man... that's a tough one. I've had a number that I thought were the best at the time, really a function of my level of experience more so than a refined sense of taste. But, I had an R&J Churchill from back in the 1980s, as I recall, that really, really knocked my socks off. A completely different stick than the ones I've had that were two or three or so years old. It was a wonderful stick and I was glad it was a Churchill.
