Island (The other ones) Reviews>Ummm, like an old Oliva V maduro lancero.

I'm pretty sure it was a 2012. My buddy Garrett hooked me up.
Oh, Oliva V Maduro Lancero. Gorgeous little cigar.

I made notes. The notes say:
Righteous burn
Perfect light
Cocoa
Dirt
Rocks
Ovaltine

V lanceros are pretty much worthless new. They're wet and they tunnel and side burn and drive a person nuts.
But like all Oliva stuff, they just get better and better and better until they are perfection.
I'd prop this up as a top 10 maduro, any day.
When I become King of the Universe, I can imagine smoking them with some sort of regularity.

Please don't miss that positive stroke I gave to Oliva.
They never miss. Perfect cigars day in and day out that increase in flavor and value over the years.
You're not gonna find that in a Ghurka Ghost Shadow. :-)

I don’t smoke lanceros much, but I do love me some Oliva cigars. Don’t love the G, but the O’s, V’s, and master blends are awesome.

Definitely prefer the lanceros myself for most NC lines, and Oliva is no exception.

I kept at least a couple boxes of Special G Maduros for years.
When I was into the next box, I immediately ordered two more.
Eventually I had so many Special G's that I just quit.

After 8 months under intensive care, they were ethereal.
I smoked them pigs like they owed me money.

Yes, this has nothing to do with lanceros. You just made me remember and I needed to share.

Stopped in a little shop one afternoon to get a cigar for the ride home. They had V lanceros for 4.99. Only had a 10 and some change so bought 2. Went back a few days later to buy the rest. Somebody beat me to them.

The V lancers has been my preferred stick for many years. Don't think I have more than half a dozen remaining from my last box.

Just smoked my first V Lancero. Got to say it's my favorite V so far.

Good choice there. I have a couple year old box I just cracked open not long ago. Should order another so it’s ready in 5 years.

Dammit. After my last V lancero, I vowed to buy several boxes. Now I must re-vow my vow.

Got me noticing. I'm looking for some good lanceros to round out my coolidor.

I don't think Oliva makes the V lancero in a maduro.

The V lancero is the natural wrapper I believe.

I submit my evidence: https://cigarsdaily.com/product/oliva-serie-v-lancero/

Hahahaha, well, that is both funny and a little sad at the same time.

I don’t purposely save cigars for five years but I would be remiss in not saying plenty are in that age somewhere in my cigar mess.

Too many good cigars.

Yea, not like I do it purposely, but sometimes stuff gets buried in the bottom of the coolidors.

I'm down to just one or two Oliva lanceros. I really need to order a box. They're one of my favorite lanceros along with My Father No. 4 and the Joya de Nicaragua Altano.
