Sports>Mets Banter 2015...
kelmac07 07:19 PM 04-19-2015
Another win today...even though the bullpen tried like hell to give it away. Todays win was a costly one. Lost D'naurd and Blevins. Get this rookie, Paweksi (SP?) is getting the call earlier than anticipated. Hope this doesn't slow us down.

Yeah, saw you lost two to broken bones today. Sorry. Hate to see anybody injured.

I saw D'naurd go down, I had no idea he was hurt. I did not see Blevins get hurt.
I can't see where you can go wrong with a polander on the mound. I like him already. :-)

I watched the entire game yesterday (I was being a lazy dick all day) and saw both Blevins and d'Arnaud get plugged. Here's the plan for replacements:

THE REPLACEMENTS

Alderson said catcher Kevin Plawecki, a prized prospect, and right-hander Hansel Robles will be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to help fill in. Blevins and d'Arnaud are headed to the disabled list, and it's unclear how long they'll be out. Both are scheduled to be examined by a specialist Monday.

10 in a row!! Amazing catch by Lagares last night and Gee kept us in it to allow Duda to knock in the winning run in the bottom of the 8th. 12-3 and I'm enjoying this while I can. Citifield has been good to us this year...9-0. :-) :-)

Enjoy it, Mac.
The Mets should be ready to hit the skids come Friday! :-)

So, guess we're not gonna go 159-3. :-) :-) :-)

deGrom looked like stir fried dogsh*t this evening. Nothing but fastballs against left handers in that little league field they call Yankee Stadium (314 down the left field line). What did he think was gonna happen?

On a positive note...didn't lose anything in the standings...Braves lost too. :-)

It's the right field line, brother, and it apparently is only 314 in the bottom of the inning. I have come to that conclusion after years and years of hearing opponents whine about The Babe's Short Porch, and so assume it must grow to around 380 when the visitors are up. :-)

But look at the bright side. Mets started another streak tonight. :-)

You're absolutely correct Thomas...meant to say right field line, not left. I'll take 13-4 any day of the week. With the injuries, I thought we'd be 4-13.

And hats off to Pineda..he threw a gem tonight.

Yeah, my guys have been getting some good pitching lately. And I'm with you on records too, now that the Bombers are getting a few hits also. Plus somehow "knock-knock" our old men aren't on the DL yet.

And we turn the tables today with an 8-2 win. Harvey pitched a gem. And Collins should NEVER had him out there for the 9th...no matter what Harvey told him. Rubber game tomorrow. :-)
