Here is link to Founders http://www.foundersbrewing.com/home.php
It's located right here in my home town. I am partial to the Dirty Bastard brew. Very full of flavor and not overly hoppy. The Oatmeal Stout is another full flavored brew.

Troeg's Nugget Nectar imperial amber is out. the wife picked up a case for my birthday. A really great beer that has the flavor profile of a well balanced IPA, even though they call it an amber. Wish it was available year round, but it's great while it lasts.

Last night I had the Ommegang Rare Vos for the first time. This will be a standard in my beer fridge going forward. Very, very good!

Kentucky Ale - Bourbon Barrel http://www.kentuckyale.com/kentuckyale/index.html

a no brainer, they house the beer in old Bourbon Barrels - tastes like a "boiler maker" right out of the bottle, YUMMY!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Great Lakes Brewery reps tonight.

As a background, the bar I frequent brought this brand (out of Cleveland) to the area (Buffalo)....literally. Before they became popular, he would drive to Cleveland or Erie to pick up a keg at a time, long story short they are now in many bars and also in all of our supermarkets.

Naturally, I had some of their beers, mainly the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. I truly enjoy that as well as all of their non-wheat beers.

They will be coming out with two new beers for any of you in the area, a German inspired beer (little info) called Glockenspiel and a seasonal Marzen style beer (also little info).

I love Magner's. I think it's also known as Bulmer's in Ireland. Try Strongbow if you see it.
