Accessory Discussion / Reviews>Blazer or Blue Rhino?

Shopping for a new lighter--the Zippo Blu just isn't reliable enough any more.
I know Blazer has a good rep. but has anyone tried a Blue Rhino? Their gas cooks the heck out of a burger, but how is the lighter?

Can't help you with the Blue Rhino, but I have a PB-207 Blazer and it's the best lighter I've ever had.

I have had both brands. All of my Blazers have taken beatings and keep ticking.

I had a Rhino once. Fell apart in no time.
Never had a blazer cause I don't like the looks. I usually use triple flame $5.00 cheapos I get from Rob at Taboo. They do a great job, and I've only had a couple fail on me out of the ten or so that I have.

My most reliable lighters are my Z-plus insert by Blazer and my Ronson Jetlight. The warranty on the Xikar does make me want to go that route on my next lighter purchase

I have a Xikar that I just bled and fixed last night. It hadn't worked worth a damn cause it was full of air. I drained it, purged it a couple times, then refilled it.
It's sweet, looks awesome, and works every click now. Even has a sheath.
It's gonna be my new fave, I think. :-)

I have a PB207 and a flip-top Xikar. Both are great.

I have two Blazer CG-001 lighters, they're the best on the market IMO.

I have way too many lighters, but my two favorite are, my Blazer PB-207 and my Blazer Chief II (lighter cutter combo). I don't own a Blue Rhino, so I can't say anything about it. I can say that Blazer makes a very reliable lighter. :-)

Thanks for the input.
Looks like I should add Xkar to the list. Although the one Xikar I have (a freebie from a Cigar-fest) crapped out soon after I got it home.

I have a blue rhino that crapped out on me after 1 week, sent it back under the warranty and the service was great, I had a new blue rhino in about 2-3 weeks. That one crapped out after the first tank too, I gave up on sending it back after that. The best lighter I have owned was a Colibri...it lasted about 4-5 years before the fill valve got stuck, but from what I understand I was lucky and a Colibri lasting that long is a rare occurance.

I just got some Ronsons and have been impressed, here good things about the Xikar as well. Those would be my two top choices.:-)

I have a Blazer CG-001 which I've had over a year and it gets daily use. Lights first time every time. Highly recommended.:-)

Never had a Blue Rhino.:-)
