Accessory Discussion / Reviews>I need a good table top lighter
Zulu 10:15 AM 12-04-2009
My Xikar Element is a great pocket torch for my tastes but I really need a table top lighter for the house when I entertain large groups...passing around a pocket lighter just doesn't work so well for torching 30+ stogies.
I'm willing to pay good money if it's a quality product.
Any suggestions?

Check Smith and Hawken or a similar type store and look for a Creme Brulee torch. Should be under $20 and they make great table top lighters.

The perdomo table lighter it a rock solid lighter it's a tripple flame and holds a ton of fuel. Just be careful no to hold it it as close as you do with a regular torch or you will burn up a couple inches of the cigar.

Z, theres a lot of good info here:http://http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=22591

I have had a Ronson Tech torch for over 5 years and it works every time! Not real pretty though, but I kinda like that "industrial look".

This time of year, you can get Creme Brulee torches almost anywhere - Lowes, Home Depot, ACE hardware, Macys, Sears, Cost Plus World Mart...

I have the Vector Megapump, Lotus T3, and the Perdomo Thundra. Nick Perdomo autographed my Thundra so I have not used it, but it seems like it would work well.

The Lotus is my every day table top (although I've been known to carry it in my pocket). The Vector is my go-to lighter for herfs as it holds the most fuel.

You can't go wrong with any of them, but remember, you are not limited to one lighter either :-)

I have used the perdomo one multiple times at the B&M and it always works. I just recently got an Alec Bradly burner and it works well but sometimes the huge flame is a bit much IMHO

I had a great Dupont table lighter I offered on here a while back. I asked about half of which it ended up getting on EBay. I was suprised no one went for it...

My favorite table lighter is the Dunhill trench lighter in a table size.

A candy bowl full of Ronson Jetlites seems like a good answer for herfs... everyone goes home happy!

This is the one I use for my non-pocket torch. It works extreamly well. Mine came with an extra refillable cartridge too.

This is what I use to heat port tongs (to open port bottles). I'd imagine it works on cigars too!
