Wine, Beer, and Spirits>Westvleteren Gift Pack

Who's getting one? I made some phone calls today and supposedly have a gift pack on reserve. I convinced myself it is cheaper than the trip to Belgium that I won't be taking anytime soon. Plus I'll feel so awesome every time I drink out of those glasses :-)

The lists at the bevy's around me well exceed the number of bricks coming to VT. Beer geeks going nuts in your area too?

I secured a brick, and a few additional singles. Should be getting them all this week. Can't wait to finally drink one!

Yes.

The Beer Shoppe was sold out and even had a standby/waiting list long before they even received the beers.

Is it really that different from St Bernardus Abt 12?

It is quite possibly the greatest beer in the history of beer.

I'm not touching mine until I can blind taste it with Abt 12, Rochefort 10, and Sixth glass so I can answer this question for myself. Plus it's great to get super hammered on quads :-)

I wound up getting two of the gift packs. Split one with a friend and passed the second on to a friend who wanted to give it to a beer lover that didn't manage to get brick for Christmas.

That's a pretty bold effin' statement, Ossifer Murphy.

I'm assuming it's bottle conditioned--would love to see if you could harvest some of that yeast, I would definitely be down for a trade :-)

OK, then I will say it is absolutely the greatest liquid of any kind of all time.

Besides maybe Mila Kunis' tears.

I hadn't thought about this. I'll look into it and let you know if I manage to raise any up.
