My favorite was Sam Adams Summer Ale... until I tried Leinenkugels Summer Shandy at Centro Cigars last week in Lawrence. Yummy!! And I gotta agree with the inmate that mentioned Bud Light Lime for a cheap alternative :-)

I've been drinking alot of Hefeweizen lately , Weihenstephaner , Schneider and Sonn's , SN Kellerweis , Franziskaner to just name a few . Had a couple SA summer ales tonight that were very good also . When it's really hot out I do enjoy the Bud Light lime . My favorite beer in the summer the last couple years has been Hoegarden , crisp , citrusy and refreshing . I love Guinness but it's just too heavy in the summer heat .
