I met my wife, Morgan Fairchild... wait no that was Jon Lovitz on SNL ..
Two years ago today is the last day I had a cigarette, I grew up with my father owning a vending company, cig machines, jukeboxes, pool tables, etc, so I had fairly easy access to cigs, I was up to 2+ packs a day over about a 30 year period.
I was heading to Disney on vacation and came down with a very nasty case of the flu, never left my room at the French Quarter or used my park hopper pass for the entire 10 day trip, on the plus side I never had a cigarette either, haven't had one since. I was always the guy who said I could quit but I didn't want to, well sometimes you get forced into things and you are better off.
On the flip side I started getting cigars at the casino when I was shooting Craps, instead of the free smokes I was getting free cigars, I thought it was a boon because of all the money I would save over smoking cigarettes....
:-) Live and learn.
So what started as the worst vacation of my life turned into a boon for my health and heck I have met a great group of guys that I'm proud to call my friends. Both things I've very grateful for.

Congratulations, Adam!
:-)
I quit about 7 years ago. Right after my first son was born. I didn't like smelling like cigarettes when I held him, so I quit then and there.

Congrat's! My last cig was in 2004; I quit because the woman I was dating (who later became my wife) has asthma. That was a tough decision, too, because I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany at the time and could get Camel Lights in the Canadian Store on base for $5 a carton.

I smoked Camels (the one's w/o the filters) for 7 straight years. Dropped them like a hot potato in October of 1979. So...
Congratulations to you Adam on your 2 year anniversary. Tomorrow, you need to enjoy a good S.H.I.T.

Good for you!
I came home from my weekly COWboy herf (had a Fuente Sungrown & Opus X
Forbidden City) and immediately lit up a cig - still love 'em!

That's funny - my BIL does the same thing. He forgets he has a cigar and you'll hear him cough from across the room. You'll know what he just did.
Congrats on quitting. I'm looking at 18 years here. I was disgusted with them. I still am.
Here's to 50 more years for you, Adam!!

Quitter.
I've been dipping snuff for 37 years, at least. I'm good at it, too.
You know how you get to Carnegie Hall, junior?

It's funny, I used to call everyone that quit a quitter and how that had that quit monkey on their back and how they'll never finish anything.
:-)
Yes I do know how to get to Carnegie Hall, but nice man in the limo said it would be our little secret.

I fully intend to quit chewing snuff as soon as they have to lop my face off.
It's not like I'm hopelessly addicted to the stuff.

Congrats Adam
Has your sense of smell come back?
I quit some 20 odd years ago and now I can tell when a smoker walks in the room or has been on an elevator, just from the smell in the air.
