My slide down the slope started pretty quick and my humidor is full, so I ordered some beads and bought a cooler today. Time to clean it and start the seasoning and see if it will last me awhile. :-)

Tyler,
Coolidors don't "season".
Clean it.
Moisten your beads.
Place in cooler along with cigars.

What Peter said!

Also throw some wooden boxes in or pieces of boxes to help regulate the RH. They will absorb the RH and keep things running smooth.

I you are putting boxes in from the start then you will be good to go! :-)

I think I set up my coolidor 6-8 weeks after joining CA. Enjoy the slide down the slope.

Thanks for the advice guys! Alot easier than a humidor. I need to go out and pick up another digital hydrometer for it sometime this weekend. I've already have some boxes, but may pick up a couple more for singles.

I hate when that happens. I'm hoping I won't fill this up for at least a year. We'll see.

NICE, Tyler! I don't know why you're starting small, you know if a few months that thing is going to be too small! :-)

I'm going to wash mine out tomorrow. I'll have to do it outside, I'm not sure it'll even fit in the shower. :-)

I saw the 150 qt and I don't even know if it would fit in my car. Not sure the wife would like it either. She looked at me like I was crazy when I told her why I was buying the small one.

:-)
I have a cover on the bed of my truck and it wouldn't close with the cooler in the back. It's a freaking beast. The wife asked where I was going to put it................I said the living room of course. :-)
So it'll be going in my closet once I redo it.

I've been on a lot of slippery slopes in my life and cigars is by far the steepest and fastest slope I've ever enjoyed.

Very nice! I am still using the tupperware for my sticks. A cooler will be in my future.
