I moved into a small space. REALLY small. So looking at the 2 fridgerdors, 3 desktops, and large coolerdor, I'm like...why have I been in denial for so long about needing a cabinet?
Not ready to take the plunge yet, but ready to start looking. I only wanna spend this money once. Is Mr. Staebell still making cabinets?
If not, can anyone recommend a good source for a climate controlled cabinet?
Thanks.
:-)

Mark, I believe it was about a year ago that Bob retired from cabinet building. He still provides support to customers and possibly some accessories for humidification or cooling, but no more of his beautiful cabinets.
I know AdamJoshua recently bought an Avallo, you might be interested to hear his thoughts now that he's had it a while.

I know someone who may be selling their Aristocrat, but it's in MA and shipping may not make it such a value to you.
Check your locale for custom cabinet makers. There's not that much secret to making a cabinet for cigars. You can get pictures of where the fans are and the weather stripping used from members here.

Michael Dixon Humidors came highly recommended from Bob himself. Might be worth checking out.

Haha yes they are some high priced humidors for sure.

Knock a zero off that price and we can talk.

I checked out Bob's website, and he still sells climate control installation kits. So I guess my plan as of now will be to buy a regular cabinet humidor and install the climate control stuff.

Sounds like a plan, Mark. Let us know how it goes.

Not a big fan of Avallo cabinets (not the new ones since the kid took over) but their set and forget stuff is on part with Bob's and they actually have better controls, easier to set, things like that. Worth doing a comparison.

I must say that I have been a bit disappointed in this cabinet since it arrived in my house. There are times, especially when the doors are open, when the humidity is outside of spec. I expected better quality for my money.

Did you find a compartment with gold bars hidden in it?

No, and I even had an MRI done on it!

That's exactly what someone that did find gold bars would say.

I saw this thing with my own two eyes 2 years ago, at the Intertabac trade show. I didn't knew the price back then, nor that it was a one of a kind thing. The moment I saw it I said to my buddy: that thing is UGLY
