I saw these in the latest Cigar.com catalog. Hopefully they will be more flavorful than 5 Vegas Gold is. I loves me some maduros!

The 5 Vegas Gold is a tad too light for me...wondering myself if the maduro wrapper will give it a little kick.

Ohh, I'd not heard of this... thanks for bringing it to my attention. I don't mind the Gold's although I agree, a tad too mellow. I'm thinking a good coffee smoke possibility.

I really enjoyed the regular 5 Vegas Golds so I will definitely want to try the maduros.

These piqued my interest as well. I have only tried the 5-vegas A series, but liked those a lot. The definitely look delicious.

Can I say for the record, I love the Series A!!!

Hey guys...
....keep in mind that the Serie A and the Gold Maduro are from completely different blenders and factories.
The Gold and Gold Maduro are from Nestor Plasencia, made in his Honduran and Nicaraguan factories respectively. The Serie A is from Toarano (not to be confused with the Triple-A "AAA" which is from AJ Fernandez.)
Don't count on similarities between the Serie A and the Gold Maduro just because they both have dark wrappers. Just because one is great, doesn't mean the others will be. Or they might both be great to you.

And I thought I had my ducks in a row
:-)
Thanks for the heads up. I knew I like Torano's smokes, just didn't know that was one of them.

I think for a mild smoke the Gold does pretty well and bests the CAO version. I need to brush up on my bathroom reading because I didn't even realize these were out. My expectation would be the same smoke but with a sweet component and maybe a bit less on the creamy feeling in the mouth. Guess I have something to keep an eye open for since I actually like the connie version.

I see a five pack of these in my future after I recover from the financial impact of my last spending spree.
I do wish they offered these in the "nugget" size, thats one of my favorite part about the 5 Vegas Gold.

:-) It is a great stick if you like lighter cigars. To me it would be great for a morning cigar with a cup of coffee.

Good to know...I didn't know all 3 were from different blenders and factories.

:-) I've really liked the gold with a bright morning blend style of coffee. If I go with a darker, fuller bodied coffee I've noticed you can't even taste the 5 Vegas Gold...a maduro would hopefully fix that.

Yeah, the 5 Vegas cigars are pretty much all blended & made by a number of different manufacturers, just depends on which line it is within the marque, and the Limitadas can change from year to year (Jose Blanco & La Aurora did the 05-08s, Manuel Quesada/MATASA did 09, can't remember who did 10 offhand).
