Accessory Discussion / Reviews>Blazer, Jetline or Xikar Tech?
smitty81 07:31 PM 06-17-2012
I'm looking to pick up a lighter with a larger reservoir than the lotus I have and one that I can see the fuel level clearly.

I know Xikar stands behind their product but that doesn't mean its the best.

Any input is appreciated.

I have a Zikar Tech lighter. It's a single flame and holds a lot of fuel for a pocket lighter. As for the warranty, I had a problem with mine and they sent me a brand new lighter no questions asked!

Make sure you register it online and you will be set!

Thanks Eric.

I will have it in my pocket a lot, and the cap durability concerns me with it being in my pocket.

With that said, I have never held one.

Any concerns with the cap Eric?

One of the problems was the spring broke. Don't play with it and you will be fine.

Like I said they sent a brand new lighter no questions asked. :-)

Thanks Eric. I will be buying a Tech lighter and a XI3 cutter as well!

Like the Blazer lighters. They seem to hold up better than most other brands.

Pulled the trigger on the Xikar due to your recommendation and the good customer service I have heard about with Xikar.

Should be here tomorrow.

Been using the Blazer pocket micro torch for over two years now, besides just a couple of scuffs on it the thing still works like new :-)

On the same note, I do have a cheap $20 Xikar lighter that I've had for the same amount of time, however I haven't used it as much. It is still working just as great too though.

Guess it all depends on how pretty you want your lighter! Blazers aren't very stylish, kinda utilitarian. They have a HUGE reserve tank (I only fill it up about every 15ish cigars) and are very easy to view how much fuel you have left. Xikars are obviously a nicer looking lighter, however I find myself refilling it quite often (every 5ish cigars).

I stick with Ronson Jetlites. Every time I go to Wallyworld I pick up 3 or 4. Must be sittin' on 20 of em. 16 of em are still in the wrapper. $60 for 20 lighters? Yeah, I'll take that. :-)
