MAGNIFICENT 1903 ALFRED DUNHILL HUMIDOR MADE FOR A KING

This is a magnificent 1903 Edwardian English humidor made by Alfred Dunhill for King Edward of England. This piece has a wonderful detail, design and patina and is fully signed and hallmarked inside the humidor's door ; the plaque reads : "Alfred Dunhill London by the order of Prince of Wales".

This humidor has a top compartment which opens, for keeping the smoking tools. It contains a front door with metal inside for keeping the cigars and tobacco fresh. It measures approx 36" tall, 17.8" front and 15.75" wide. The top tools leather compartment has been recently redone with a new leather face.

Tool compartment part measures approx 12" by 10" by 2" and contains 7 sections. The humidor part measures approx 14.25" front, 9.75" high and 12.25" deep. It comes with its original lock and key. Alfred Dunhill made only 2 of these pieces. This is the finest humidor ever has been made in the World.

US $250,000.00

Seems kind of plain for what I would imagine a king's humidor to be.
Very nice for me though, not at that price however.

Not made for the King of England. I believe that is the prince's seal given to goods made in England, not made for the king of England. I hope no moron buys that under the pretense that the king ever owned it :-)

The owner is also not accepting questions about the item. :-)

I'm thinking of putting up some junk in the garage and saying it was once owned by someone famous. Maybe I can get a sucker to pay 250k for it.

I deal with people everyday who think they have real items that turn out to be fake. The saying "A sucker born each minute" is very true!
