General Discussion>Best NFL Playoff Game of The Weekend?
shilala 08:08 AM 01-15-2011
If you could only watch one of the four games this weekend, which one would it be?
Teh pohl included...

I think the Steelers/Baltimore game will easily be the best, at least from "pure painful football" standpoint. Steelers win 24-13.

I think the Green Bay/Atlanta game could become a real offensive shootout, and turn into a very fun, high-powered game to watch. Especially if you like to watch a couple really good offenses at the peak of their games. Green Bay wins 37-35.

I think the Seattle/Chicago game will be like watching Women's Basketball. I don't care who wins this one. One of them, 6-3.

I think the Jets should just stay home. It'll save on therapy bills. If the Jets can score 75 points in the first half, they may pull this one out. New England wins NFL Playoff Record For Points Scored-14.

You're asking two different questions! :-) If I could only watch one game, it would have to be my Pats; however, I think the Packers/Falcons game is going to be the hardest fight and best game overall this weekend.

Yeah, I know. I shouldn't have put "best game" in the pole. I was being lazy. :-)

Best game - Pittsburgh/Baltimore
Game I most want to watch - Atlanta/Green Bay (obvious bias)

Honestly, the games on Sunday aren't all that appealing to me. As much as ESPN is trying to hype the matchup, I don't think too many people outside of the Northeast care too much (oversaturation of both teams).

I have it on good authority that Pittsburgh has James Harrison in a cage right now, poking him with sticks.

Over/Under on the amount of fines levied by the NFL stemming from today's Pittsburgh/Baltimore game. I'll set the line at 2.

I think I'd call her even. Probably about 50K a team.

John, I got to see a lot of interviews this week, players from both the Steelers and Baltimore. I was really impressed with the honest respect and admiration these guys have for each other. They are absolutely chomping at the bit to get on the field. I think it's because both teams play the same style of ball, and each team drives the other team to do their absolute best. They leave everything they have on the field every single time they play. I bet they'd play against each other every week if they could, they have that much fun. Those aren't my words, that's from the players themselves.
Granted, they hate each other's guts when they hit the field, and they play like they're trying to kill each other, but I think that the best part of the guys professionally idolize the other team.
It ain't like the old days with Cleveland/Pittsburgh. They just flat hated each other, and they weren't afraid to say so. :-)

I should mention I saw this same poal on tv, and the numbers played out much the same. I don't remember the order, but it was 33%, 33%, 26%, 7%.
Baltimore/Pittsburgh was a 33%, but I can't remember who were the other 33% and 26% teams.
No one seems to care about Chicago/Seattle, including myself. Funny, cause it could turn out to be a really good game. Chicago hasn't gotten an ounce of respect all year. That could motivate them right to the Super Bowl. Seattle has absolutely nothing to lose. That makes them a scary club if you factor in "any given Sunday".

I'd pick the NYJ/NE game. With all the trash talk this week, it's gonna be a good one. I love Welker's hidden jabs at Rex's foot fetish.

Of course I can't wait for the Jets/Pats game, but I'm really looking forward to the Ravens/Steelers. You can't get more evenly matched than these two, gonna be a blood bath!

Probably due to the fact that outside of one game, they really haven't looked good all year.:-)

actually I voted before I read the first post. If I could only watch one I would choose my Packers but I'm sticking with the Steelers Ravens as most entertaining. What a game. Too bad the steelers won. Always like to see Ray Lewis play but it looks like I'll have to wait until next season
