:-) My ? is, I would like to know if it is OK for me to remove my UPMANNS from the Tubes they are in and place them in my Humidor, will they stay fresh and or will this detroy them, I hope someone in this vast Cigar Asylum would have the answer.

PS, Can you also tell me where to go to read my replies, as most of you know this is my first time doing this, I have about 2 hours total of chat room time under my belt/.

Thank You,

What Mike said.Tubes help protect them. Better to leave them in there, IMO.

I'd also leave the tubes on. If you want a little more air to get at them, pull the caps off.

I leave mine in the tubes. But I take the cello wrapper off my other sticks. Makes no sense, but neither do I 99% of the time.

When you first log into the site, I believe there is a link that shows all the threads you've started.

Why do you want to take them out of the tubes?
I'm guessing it's a space consideration. Many believe, that long term aging is enhanced, by leaving in the tubes. If you are intending to age these for 5-10 years, you may want to consider leaving them in. If you are planning on smoking them in the next couple years, go ahead and take them out. But keep some tubes, they are nice for carring the cigars to herfs and such.

I leave them in the tubes, but remove the caps.

WOW, Thank You all, this was great I can not tell u how happy I am for finding this site. BUT.......

Do you not think it would look ugly to keep them in the Tubes while in A glass Humidor, I thought maybe the tubes would look shaggy looking in this desk top humidor i'm going to post a picture of it when I can find one. and then tell me what you think. I know in the grand sceme of things this is not that Urgent, but it is to me, and I need your input, all of u

Thanks so much again

I just leave them in the tubos with the caps on. They were/are stored like that for years in a warehouse, smoked fine when I got them.

I wouldn't worry about the visual appearance of visible tubos in a humidor.

Again, Thank You all,

Your right I was more concerned about how they would look rather than how they would end up. Besides it's not like I have any friends that come over any way.

SOOOOOOOO, Thanks my new Cigar FRIENDS.

I often keep the tubes and discard the cigars.

By smoking them.

I keep the tubes, especially Tat black tubes, for "other" reasons. They bear a striking resemblance to something else.
