General Discussion>Working on Saturday Sucks

I'm just sayin....

Wen you're salaried, it doesn't matter how long it takes to get your work done, you just do it. Rest of the family is at home putting up Xmas decorations while I'm at the office. Can't light up a cigar in here either. :-)

Mostly, I would have worked if I didn't feel like 1000 dangers were trying to escape my stomach today, I laid in bed all day. ick.

Feeling your pain... have worked the last two Saturdays myself. Makes you feel mentally drained and physically fatigued. Hope you get a cigar this evening... :-)

This coming from a man who works Sundays. Didn't get a cigar last night, was so tired I went to bed early. Maybe this afternoon.

(And yes, I'm very thankful to have a job with layoffs happening all around us!)

I'd be mad if I was salary and had to work on the weekends when it's normally not required.

My wife and I understand how it is. We worked as house-parents at a boys home from 1992-96 where you live with your work 24-7. We once went 7 months with no time off. 7 months 24-7, no down time even at night.

It gave us a crystal clear understanding of Jesus' statement that the sabbath was made for man not man for the sabbath, You need to take time to do nothing related to work on a somewhat regular basis to recharge mentally and physically. :-)
