Wine, Beer, and Spirits>What's Your Favorite Cheap Beer?
designwise1 12:03 AM 10-20-2008
Tonight it's Keystone Light.

This is too funny. I took a couple of bags of garbage down to my workplace today to drop them off at the dumpster. The owner's son had been there before me and filled the sucker up with so much stuff that I just had to check it all out. I dumpster dived like Sanford and came away with an old table, a lamp, some new silicone caulk, new toilet parts, electrical stuff, TOOLS, carpet (beside the dumpster, rolled up), and 5 Keystone Lights (one was a tall can- -the brand is how I know who filled the dumpster). Who would throw beer away? It's not Coors Light (my usual cheap favorite) but I'm enjoying the last one now. I may check it out again in the morning before I clock in to see if I missed any other goodies. :-)
You should see the lamp. Rich people are weird.

Corona, I got sick of Heine.

Stienlager, Heine, Budlight, Corona, all party beers here. I'll take corona over the ones I listed any day.

Bud Light, or if Im spending the whole day tailgating and drinking heavy Naty Light. It sucks but gets the job done.

Natural Light of course

In 1975 the Miller brewing company came out with the first light beer, Miller Lite, took the world by storm. Then in 1979 the worlds biggest brewing company A. Busch inc came out with Natural Light, "the beer with the taste for food". They ran neck and neck, neck and neck until 1985, when the ----- in the advertising company thought up Bud Light and Spuds Mckenzie. Now why do I ask you does the worlds largest brewing company need to premium light beers??? It doesn't, but since Natural Light had such a following, they decided to keep it and just lower the price. Natural Light, the Premium Light Beer, with the cheap beer price.

* bottles are also the same price as cans.

Now I can't tell you most of the classes I took in college, but I remember that verbatim. Amazing what the threat of Hazing would do.

Being a recent member of the college ranks, I thoroughly enjoy(ed):
30 packs of 'Stones
Jacob's Best
Busch Light
Old Style
Miller High Life Light
Rolling Rock

I also have been known to keep a few 'Stones around, and drink Busch Light for football games recently. :-):

Pigs Eye, when it was brewed here in town, Amber being the fave.
Now? Summit, occasionally mixing in a case of Green Death (Special Export), decent body on the Ex, compared to 99% of macros, in my opinion. Others as wild hairs grab me.

Almost never, unless it is pretty much the only cold hopped product in front of me? Bud. Drank more than my share as a kid. Miller Lite. Never had the taste for it, taste buds told me to F off. Bud Light. Same thing. Damn near any light beer, actually, I would rather spend a couple bucks extra for something I can taste. The occasional light i might enjoy is a hot day lawnmower light. I also try to imagine myself as a man lost in the desert drinking fetid water at that point. :-)
Hard to find a beer with actual body on the cheap, is my point, actually...Wait, did I have a point?

Crap, wheres my beer, the back is spasming again.

But do you still drink it out of a brown paper bag sitting on your front porch?

SL Gregory's, either type. For two or three bucks a six-pack it's a great beer.

Nothing wrong with an OCCASIONAL Green Death. Otherwise my digestive tract goes awry.
Now, Summit Extra Pale Ale, can be consumed whenever, wherever and often!

JW Dundee's Honey Brown is a great value at ~ $9 per 12 pack bottles. German Warsteiner is another great value.
