Good article. Ammo is starting to become available again at least in certain calibers. Thankfully I stocked up before the rush.

Didn't the rush cause the shortage?
I was partly to blame for that.

Prices are unreal... but I stocked up months ago. I am not worried or anything. I just knew prices were going to go up. The last box of 50 357 XSTs I bought was almost $70!!! 38 wad cutters are still not too bad though.

Yeah, it is suddenly becoming available again now that the price has increased 2-3X.

I have a few hundred rounds of .40 and haven't been to the range in a year because I don't want to replace it at these ridiculous costs. 5 years ago 100 rounds was $16 at Walmart - now, $37 and out of stock. That's for the crappy white box!

I have plenty of ammo in the calibers for my handguns and long guns. I also have enough powder, bullets and primers to load at least another 10K. The only thing I want to buy is more .45 bullets, cuz I only have about 3000K left.
:-)
But I used to shoot competiton using a .45 and I'd easily go through 1500 rounds a month.

Try getting ammo in MA!
:-)
It's crazy how 1,000 rounds for my SKS went from Under $100 to around $300!

Try finding primers and powder.

I was at a gun show a couple of weeks ago and my buddy couldn't get .380 at any price. They ran out the first day.
Fortunately, I stocked up on most of the calibers I shoot years ago. Between cigars and ammo, I'm good for a while.

Bought 5000 rounds of .223 the day after "the" election.

I only have a few hundred rounds of 9mm and .22, maybe a few boxes each of .380 and 30-06, 45 and 38. 40 rounds or so of 12 gauge. Slim pickens around here.
I do however have 3 boxes of .40SW Ranger for some reason. Don't even own anything they would fit in
:-)
I kept meaning to do some stocking up just never got around to it.
