So, this was a pretty cool place, Castle Rock Country, the scenery is straight out of a western movie...the Anasazi Petroglyphs are from 1200 AD..pretty cool :-)

Wow, that's stunning. Hard to beat getting away from the normal hustle and bustle and enjoying some beautiful nature.

I'd like to go out to that area. MOAB would be awesome as well, but I'm never going to have a Truck that could handle it.

Some Jeep guys passed us going to Moab, probably had a hundred grand invested in the rock climbers they were towing down.

So you can't go one day without CA Mike? :-)

Great pics love the 'carvings' you can tell different people working on them by the artistic perception of things like legs, some have 4 legs in a row and some have a more realistic dimensional view. Very cool

Are you camping out, for me the best part would be to see the milky way in the sky at night.

I'm on an Xterra forum, mostly because they have a ton of information about fixing problems with your Xterra.
This Xterra, is also common. Guys live for MOAB. Crazy lifestyle.

Eh could probably still see a lot of stars just a short drive away, no point in missing the wonder of the universe!

Have a great trip Mike!
