All Cigar Discussion>Cohiba 1966 Edicion Limitada 2011
havanabound 12:59 PM 11-16-2012
I just ordered two of these babies online (Cuban Cohiba 1966 Edicion Limitada 2011). One for me and one for my boss as a Christmas gift, he's the one that got me started on cigars. Good way to score some brownie points I suppose.

Anyway, they were $81 a piece. I expect to receive them around Nov 27. Can't wait!

In addition to those, I ordered some other premiums, namely Bolivar Belicoso Fino, RyJ Churchill and RyJ Belicoso (all cuban).

Also, received my sampler shipment yesterday of 6 different cuban Robustos. They are: Hoyo de Moterrey, RyJ, H. Upmann, Bolivar, Cohiba, Partagas (all robustos). Since I already have a full box of the cohiba robustos, really I'm trying 5 new kinds with this shipment. They arrived beautifully fresh from Switzerland.

Disclaimer: I'm in Canada :-)

Yikes $81 each! I'd have to turn those two into a box of RASS - 13 for me, 12 for him. For the coin, I hope they're dynamite!

I figured such, I just wasn't sure how it all works, don't want people to think I'm illegally importing or anything.

How do I post a picture on here? Sorry, I'm fairly new here. Seems I have to have the picture uploaded to the web first. Is there a simple way to post a picture here of my recent shipment?

Use a host site like photobucket, then copy the "img" address into a post.

These are my babies. I'm going to do to them the same that US customs would. Incinerate them. Only I'll do it one by one, very slowly.

About 50% of that price is tobacco tax in Canada, and it would apply to any cigar from any location :-) At least thats what Ive seen in my multiple excursions up North. I always end up bringing my own and hope the border patrol doesnt find them.

Nah, this is the price that I pay from switzerland, so they're subject to Canadian tax when they get shipped through the mail.

There's probably a 20% chance or so that I'll get dinged Canadian tax when they get shipped.

A friend's friend is going to Cuba next month and will pick me up a box of whatever I want. Right now, my plan is to get her to get me another box of Cohiba Robustos, works out to about $260. I know those are pricier than most other cuban brands, but I know I love dem Cohibas.

I'm going to work through my sampler pack (above) first though and see if any of those tickle my fancy to warrant a full box purchase though. I just don't think I'm going to be able to try each of them in time, may only get through one or two. what to do?!?!
