Assuming the ones included in the box were paper, yes. Maybe my water's too thin. :-)

Changed the proportions this morning for a single cup, instead of my usual travel mug. Made a damn smooth (if not weaker) cup. The learning curve isn't terribly steep on this thing, which I like. Changing portion sizes is a bit of a guessing game, but I think two tries will probably be all it takes.

When I make a cup I usually do the 2 scoop, fill to second water line, press, add about 5 oz of water, take to work.... after I rinse my filter...

Going out in the morning, Tom. My apologies for the delay, fellas. Been running ragged lately, and I haven't been able to get this boxed up.

Final verdict: Smooooooooooooth. I like it. I'm still not sure it stacks up quite evenly with the trusty french press, but for travel purposes, I can see how this could be a staple. I truly appreciate the experience, Dan. :-)

Good to hear from you Tom. I called yesterday and got no answer. Hope you are well.

Enjoy the Aero, it is a great tool.

I think strong, smooth coffee wards off infection, TomTom. :-)

I've heard an infection can only be truly vanquished if the coffee is smooooooooooooth. :-)

Novasurf, I got a new answer machine yesterday. I'll give you a shout. :-)
Hey guys, This past month was a real bust for me. I was dogged by respiratory infection/s that drove me to my knees. I'd feel cocky when I started to feel better and go out or stress myself so I relapsed...DUH!!!!
I really am the poster child for NOT 40 ANYMORE.
I didn't have the strength for most of my illness to even make coffee...

I am VERY apologetic to anyone I backed up with not getting this out. Truth is I am just now starting to use it.

I am wondering if it's worth the effort to press and then add water. Not too much different, I think, from getting used to the grind and amount of water/bean to use for my proper cup. Taste and amount.
I propose to youse that I ship this off to the next guy in one week.
Is that ok?

PM is a fine knuckle ruler....to let me know that I am off base in continuing to use this.
Public admonistration is ok too.

PM me please, as I will continue to use this filter for another week, otherwise.

Thanks for understanding. I did think I might die, during this last bout of respiratory illness, once or twice.....My Son in the Air Force would have gotten the pass back on track in that event...
No fears there.

thank youse
Tom

Hey Tom, no worries, I'm sure I speak for all of us saying take care of yourself and get better. That press is made from space age polymers so it'll be around long after we're gone. Enjoy the press while you have it.

When I make the coffee with the press I add about a 1 to 1 ratio of hot water to the press output to make a damn fine cup. I use less for a stronger cup. Though I've found even a 2 to 1 ratio is still better than most swill you'll find out and about.

I'm back. Still in ill health/spirits. This is going out as soon as I figure out the next address.
I was close to dying.....perspectives change....
There are three folk after me so I
added
4 ROCKY PATEL FUSION LANCERO
4 ROCKY PATEL SIGNATURE LANCERO
4 ROCKY PATEL DOUBLE MADURO LANCERO

PLEASE TAKE ONE EACH. Then back to hardcz
These were stored at 70%, so I would let them sit a spell in a 60-65% environment.
This should finish out the pass as a small penance for my failure to pass on in an appropriate time.

I'll take pics now...
The whole kit and KABOODLE
