All Cigar Discussion>My recent trip to vegas and experiences with Cigars bars....

Hey all,
Hope everyone is doing well! So we came back from Vegas last weekend and I'd thought I would share a few of my experiences.

Let me start by saying prayers and thoughts are with all those that may have been affected by the horrible events that transpired on Sunday evening.

I'll keep it short, so here's a quick review of where we went. Saturday was my Bday and so it was an all cigar day. ;-)

Montercristo Cigar Bar Ceasars Palace - Went about 7 pm. Not full. The guy helping in the humidor was there more to make sure I wasn't stealing than actually helping. I kept it short with him and grabbed a Liga privada. The cashier was friendly. The bartender was very short with me and the wife and could not give two craps about whether we were there or not. I ordered one drink and then we left. We felt very unwelcome. I should have gotten a name or two, but whatever. Not going back there.

Casa Fuente - We should have just come here. As usual the mojitos were amazing and they always have a great scotch and bourbon selection. The bartenders, waitress, and pretty much all staff welcomed us and made conversation. The cigar selection was a bit lacking though. Most boxes were close to empty and what was there was a bit underhumidified. I still grabbed a few sticks.

Rhumbar - Always fun and quite a few poeple smoking stogies from mid afternoon on. Everyone knows its a cigar place so you don't get the a-hole stares from people who don't smoke. lol. Had a couple johhny blacks and then went to bar hop the casinos.

We finished up the night at harrahs watching people either rock it out, or make fools of themselves at the karaoke bar. Super fun and nobody around cared about the stogie, even got a compliment on how great it smelled (Liga T52)

All in all felt very welcomed everywhere we went. The biggest downside is marijuana smoke is all over the place outside the casinos. I don't care if people smoke it, but damn, it stinks.... I never cared for it much. So be prepared to walk through some of that stench. We never made it to the davidoff cigar bar in front of the mall, but that is next on the list.

The guy smoking "stinky" cigars complains about the guys smoking "stinky" weed, sorry it did give me a chuckle. Glad you had a good time!

lol, yeah that is exactly what crossed my mind. I'll take marlboro smell over that smell anyday. :-)

Interesting! I actually prefer the Montecristo to the Fuente lounge. But, the Rhumbar is the best when the weather is good. The Davidoff bar is similar to the Rhumbar. It is nice to take a break from the noise and lights and relax with a good smoke. I do agree that you are followed with an eagle eye in the Montecristo humi, kinda annoying but perhaps they had trouble, who knows?

I've been to all three places, and I still like going back to Casa Fuente. I will be there later this week and meeting some people at CF.

I didn't have any issues at Montecristo, but things change, so I may have to check in there again.
