I only asked if I was correct because if you're wrong, it gets messy three or four posts later. I don't want to google-check my answers either.

I understand why, and don't fault your intentions, at all.:-) However, that method ends up causing confusion, and delays, since it might be a while before the quoter you have guessed at is back to confirm or deny. If you are 95% sure, you are not using google to provide you with an answer, only to provide you with confirmation, IMO. Which is different than just simply googling the quote to get the original answer.
