All Cigar Discussion>Heh.. OpusX
iaMkcK 12:52 AM 11-02-2012
I hate to make a thread in the General Discussion that is basically an ISO.. Essentially because I do not have access to the B/S/T forum.. Nevertheless, this is more of a... Retailer ISO.

I basically am looking to see if there are any reputable retailers that actually carry any OpusX's that are in stock... There's no way I'm going to even try to throw my hat in the ring on any auction site because they go well above a $45 price range... I may not understand a whole lot about the OpusX line so who knows, I may be searching for something that only releases once a year, and this years stock may already be sold out. Any additional information would be nice as well...

*clicks on the OpusX wiki entry* well that didn't tell me s**t. :-D

*continues to use the search function*

[Hah, I stumbled upon the Backyardcigar's last thread again from searching. What a good read. :-D]

No affiliation....just availability.

Some pricing isn't much better than my B&M, which isn't saying much, as we have an 85% tax rate.....but it is what it is.

There is supposedly an Opus shipment on the way to B&Ms, a separate one from the usual Christmas shipment, so keep an eye out locally over the next week or so.

Got an email that Tampa Humidor got them in yesterday, but you have to call.

"Call 800-990-8535 - we have 10 sizes in stock as well as 3pk tins."

Grab two. One to smoke now if you haven't tried them yet, the other to hide from yourself for a couple years.

My local B&M has them $10-15. They are located in Florence KY. Picked up 3 opus x power rangers for $10.75 a piece. PM me for info.

Used to be that Emerson's always had them at msrp, noticed in the last couple years they've joined the price gouging bandwagon. Don't know where to get them at msrp any more. Sorry bud

I see only that one. I appreciate the massive amount of input. I've still been down since I've been sick so I haven't been on as frequently as I would like. I'll look into more avenues in a bit. I guess I may just have to pay a bit more than they should cost unless I get in right when they flood the market. We shall see. :-)

Never hurts to poke around some out-of-the-way places.
Remember finding full boxes of Anjeos and Opus Xs at a small newsstand/smoke shop in an urban mall outside Rochester and they were all going for exactly MSRP.
Think this was the place, and they remain IPCPR members, so assume the product was legit

I agree. You've got to look in unlikely places. I've found a few small, out-of-the-way places with no web presence that will even give you a 10% discount on a box if they haven't been able to move it in a while. Last year I picked up a box of Opus X Forbidden X "13" Keeper of the Flame 2013 for $175 (13 cigars - $13.50/ea) :-)
