I got a couple sets of these thru Woot.com's daily deal a couple weeks back. Won't make a drink of bourbon or scotch without 'em now :-)

I've heard of these but never tried them. Sounds like you guys are convinced they are worth getting.

Bump for the night crew. About 2 1/2 hours until the deal ends.

That was a great deal on these things. I paid more than that on Woot a few weeks ago. I really like these stones, they work really well.

I got a set last year and used them once. Didn't work for me.

Cool concept, but doesn't work as well as advertised. You're better off leaving the bottle in the fridge for a while, I usually chill the glass before pouring my spirit.

Or drinking it at room temperature so you can actually taste it. :-)

I got a set for Christmas. They did not keep the drink as cold as ice does-- but no dilution. I had not realized how much I have become accustomed to the watered down whisky as you consume a drink. Jury is still out for me. I'll continue testing.

Used mine a few times, 5 stones in 2 fingers of booze barely cools it off. Thank goodness they were cheap.

I'm gonna try cooling of my glass, and chilling the water I add to the single malt.

Sometimes room temp down here in South Florida is a bit warm to my taste, if these things can cool my whisky 5-10 degrees off that I might be a buyer. Do they at least do that? I'm not looking for cold, just a touch cooler than room temp.

Has anyone tried these: http://www.brookstone.com/reusable-ice-cubes ?

Whisky stones sounds like a medical condition that makes it very painful to pee because of drinking too much whisky. I'd hate to pass one of those.
