Sorry, no pics, but recently had a couple passed my way with a shiny black band and what appears to be a gold M embossed on the wrapper. Totally drawing blanks on these. Anybody got a suggestion?

I think Macanudo, not sure what blend though.

I'm pretty sure they're not Macanudo. Seems like I've seen them in the CI catalog but a visit to their website isn't helping me.

Montesino? I don't believe their bands are black though...

Not Montesino either. I've been through all the "M" brands on JR, Cigar.co, CI, Famous and Atlantic. no luck.
Sorry.

Any chance it might be machine made?

I've had them too. I was thinking Maroma. I'm also thinking it's a shop brand, or a cigar accessory manufacturers brand.
I was thinking a big gold M on a dark blue band with gold edges on the band, but that's just what came to mind.

They etched a M onto the wrapper? I doubt it. Oliva is the only company I can think of that did that to the MB1 and MB2's

I'm pretty sure it's a Miraflor by Nestor Miranda.

I'm the one who brought it up, but that ain't the band I'm thinking, either.
Now I think it's Madeira Cigars. Andy Madeira. I think that's who Albert went to work for for a minute.
Not sure if that's how you spell Madeira, either.

Yup, I thought that was the answer, too. GDW cigars and the reserva miraflor and Andy Madera.
It's not the right band I'm thinking about, though. The band I'm thinking just has a big script M from top to bottom. It's gold leaf on a dark blue or black band. There may or not be gold leaf real thin on the edge of the band.
It also may or may not be what the OP was talking about, but I've had a few of those cigars in the last few years, and I for some reason thought they came from Albert (awsmith04). I'm pretty sure he went to work for Andy for awhile, and assumed they were Andy's cigars.
All that could be totally wrong.

My bad....the M is on the label. And it's very pointy, almost like two upside down V's put together, or even moreso, like an upside down W.

Nope. I'm familiar with those.
