I am surprised no-one mentioned the horrific peanut taste of the CAO Colombia--the worst cigar ever by CAO by a factor of ten.

Great resurrected thread!!

As a N00b to cigars, but not to pipes, I can say that I do not enjoy bitter, metallic or extreme pepper....I like a little perique in pipe tobacco, so pepper is fine, but not pepper bombs that seem harsh and acrid. I have noticed some bitter aftertastes in some cigars that I have had....not a fan.

Here here, I also commend the resurrection of this tread!
I'm with everyone as far as the obvious foul tastes being bad...but more than that, I find that I sometimes really love a new cigar I've tried, buy a box & overdo it and then get *really* sick of that cigars profile..
the most current offender is the Crowned Heads Le Careme - wonderful cigar, really flavorful maduro, but I got really tired of its taste quickly. So I've relegated that box to the bottom of one of my Coolidors.
I also in general don't like most cigars that have too much of a sweet profile, I'm definitely more in the dry woodsy/earthy/mineraly camp. :-)

Metallic is an auto pitch and is a B to clear the pallet.

In addition to many of the above, an over-fermented odor or flavor is immediately pitched.

Anything other than 100% tobacco.

The rest is just shades of preference.
