Teeznutz 06:23 PM 01-27-2009
After several scotch tasting fiascos, I decided to stock my bar with a few bottles. A special "Thanks" to my lovely wife for this belated xmas present. :-):-)

My new additions:

JW Blue Label
Macallan 18
Macallan 12
Lagavulin 16

What was yours?

Just bought my first bottle of bourban - Makers Mark.

I know it's not scotch, never bought a bottle of that either, but I thought I might try something besides a Coca Cola when I am sitting and enjoying my cigars after dinner.

The MacPhail's Collection version of Bunnahabhain. Laid down in 1991, bottled in 2007. Bought it for a Robbie Burns tasting with friends and left it with the host family. I'm going to have to pick it up again for me.

Also picked up Bowmore 15 recently.

I'm on the hunt again now...

Enjoy that one, it's freaking GUD.

I bought a bottle of Glenlivet 15 Year French Oak Single Malt for Robbie Burns night. I thought I'd 'matured' past Glenlivet some years ago but this one intrigued me. WELL worth the money.

Does a bottle of McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt count? It's not a true "Scotch", but has many aspects of it.

Have you compared it with other single malts? Curious to see what it matches up with.

I bought one of these too, Glenlivet 18 (IMO) is one of the defining Speyside Scotch whiskies.

Also bought a Bowmore Islay "Darkest" 15 single malt. If you havent tried this one, well, you must - especially if a fan of Islay flavors.
