General Discussion>My Cellphone Progression
smitdavi 08:11 AM 12-02-2008
Was thinking the other day about how many different cellphones that I've had. Thought it would be cool to start a thread to see where you started and see what you currently have now.

Here's mine:

Why did you ditch the Titan for the Blackberry?

Some slider from from Tmobile
Some Smartphone from a company no longer in existence called Vox.

I enjoyed a lot.

Worked great but I wanted a larger screen.

I can't remember many of the phones I've had. Also, I searched high and low for a picture of my first cell phone and couldn't find it. I found this picture which is similar but my phone was grey and more bulky. I think this is a later model:

bunch of phones in between and now I have:

I love my titan too. I have a hacked 6700 too, but the 6800 is much better phone. A lot of people complain about them but with a couple little tweaks it is a great phone.

Ironically my dad didn't like his Titan. He got rid of it for an iPhone. My brother put Britney Spear's "Womanizer" as his ring tone and he can't figure out how to get it off. :-)

Watching my dad with his iPhone is like watching a gorilla try to figure out a typewriter. :-)

I had mine hacked, and it was awesome. The center joystick broke one day and I called in for a replacement since I had the insurance. The company dropped the ball and said they would send me a 6800 instead. Didn't care for it much so I gave it to my Dad

LOL...I know where you coming from. When I gave my dad the Titan he was calling me every 30 minutes: "how do I do this......" After a while I just told him to read the book :-)

Yeah right! That wouldn't fly with my dad. He would give me sh!t until I came over and helped him. Last night after he took my wife and I out to dinner he made me come over and adjust the aspect on his TV (actually it used to be my TV but I gave it to him when I moved this summer). Somehow, the aspect got changed to 16:9 zoom from plain 16:9 and it was cutting off part of the picture.

Just retired :-) Image

That phone took many drunk throws and drops, got ran over by mistake set on fire briefly let in the snow etc.

Still runs like a champ.

I dunno what to do to honor it.

Totally. Talk about a product being ahead of it's time. It's still more compact than many phones on the market today.

Never had one. Will be 40 in a few months. It's been difficult to do, but I'm holding out.

If you need me, I'm either at work or at home. Otherwise, I'm busy with life. :-)
