I had a couple cases of Shiner Oktoberfest that just ran out......I about cried.

Moved onto Sam Adam Winter Lager.....anybody got some suggestions on something similar?

Theirs is a spiced wheat bock, so it's a little unusual. You might try Harpoon's Winter Warmer, Redhook's Winterhook, or Troeg's Mad Elf, which are just Christmas spiced beers. There may be some local examples near you, too, lots of craft breweries are jumping on that style.

There is a local Brewery that I'm going to swing by today to see if they are doing anything different for the holidays.

Split a bottle of the Trader Joe's 2011 holiday ale with the wife last night. Good stuff, IMO. Dark ale, loads of Christmasy spice, almost like a gingerbread cookie. We both liked it a lot, and for $4.99/bottle, I think we'll be picking up a bunch more (especially since the store is across the street from us). :-)
