Hey, I was wondering if any of you have a suggestion of a nice ashtray that can withstand the elements. I currently have a cigar international "your in cigar country" four finger ashtray and due to it being outside all summer and winter it cracked into three or four large pieces. I would prefer something that can stay outside all year long but I have a feeling I'm going to have to stop being lazy and bring it inside during the colder months.

Stinky is the best ashtray for outdoors. :-)

The Stinky gets my vote. Durable, dependable and will keep on going like the energizer bunny. :-)

I use a large glass candle holder. It has been outside for two years so far.

I just toss 'em on the ground - pick them up at the end of the week. Just gives me another reason to go outside and smoke another 'gar. :-)

I use a medium sized terra cotta flower pot, sans flower.
It has potting soil in it so the cigar doesn't fall to the bottom.
Works great.

Anything made of heavy glass would work and you can throw it into the dishwasher. Bob

Do you have a compost bin? If you or anyone in your house grows veggies or plants, put all the ash (and butts) into a compost bin, does a garden good!

I use a couple big ceramic ashtrays, but they sit under my porch roof.
Anything left outside to the elements in PA isn't going to last long, and it's gonna be full of snow and ice half of the year.

I was using a 91 Ford Tempo, but I scrapped it out. Now I use a Stinky like most of the others. It's a great ashtray.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've got one of the large shell casings but my wife doesn't think that it adds to the over all appeal of our backyard. I've got a 6x12 backyard garden, I dump all of my ashes in it once the ashtray starts to overflow. I'll have to show her the stinky, I've looked into getting one before since it holds a ton of ashes.
