picked up a couple more bombers last night.. almost done with them both... Both have been excellent, especially considering the $2 price point...

I regularly visit the brewery. I dont like this years first batch of OF but i think the next batch should be better. Last year it was great.

Picked up 3 bottles of Black Creek Pumpkin Ale. Curious as to what they taste like...

By far the nastiest brew I have ever tasted. Many people were walking away gagging.
+1. It is definitely a novelty beer. Not a fan.

I found it to be a dialed up version of their Havest Pumpkin. Nice dark amber, strong spice flavor. Alittle alcohol bite but not much considering its 8.5%. Overall not bad not amazing but not bad at all.

I tried a couple of bottles of Fat Jack recently. It's a huge improvement on Harvest Pumpkin IMO. I found Harvest Pumpkin to be overall rather bland. I'm a huge fan of pumpkin ales and I found Fat Jack to be one of the better ones available in my area. Personally, I prefer a pumpkin ale that actually tastes like it has pumpkin in it. Everyone around here seems to love Shipyard Pumpkin but to me it tastes like a mouthful of cinnamon and nutmeg. No actual pumpkin flavor.

I've heard a lot of good things about The Great Pumpkin Ale from Cambridge Brewing Company (a local brew pub that recently started bottling). I just picked up a bottle and may try it later tonight.

The Boston Globe actually has a beer blogger and he did a review of 12 pumpkin ales available in the Boston area which was a good read and some of these are widely available across the country:
