I don't read fiction. My favorite author is Steven Ambrose. The book that most shaped my world view is The Sum of Good Government by Phil Crane.

Stephen King....love "Pet Semetary" and "Misery".
Dean Koontz....favorite is "Midnight".

Also dig Richard Preston. My favorite from him is "Demon in the Freezer". Truth can be scarier than fiction. :-)

Reading a lot of Nelson DeMille right now. Like Vince Flynn, and John Sanford. Brian Lumley did a series on vampires and such in the Necroscope series. Good stuff.
Also a big Stephen King fan. Loved The Stand and It.
