General Discussion>I am about to cross in to the blue...
pearson 11:07 AM 06-10-2009
Well things dont always work out as planed, I worked at volvo in Kansas city and was laid off. I then found a job in scottsdale AZ at Volvo and was let go in 3 weeks. Scottsdale Volvo says it was my personality but they just hired someone else to do the job cheaper.

But this gives me the perfect opportunity to Join the US Air Force. I have always looked at going in to the service since I was 18 and now at 21 I can finally do it. I am hoping to get a MOS repairing the planes.

Glad to see you're keeping a positive outlook on the whole situation. Not everyone takes these opportunities to move forward.

Good luck on the new path you've chosen!

I always kinda regreted not going into the service...I would have been much more prepared for college and the "real world" if I had and probably would have finished medical school...This is a great opportunity for you...congrats! :-)

Of all the choices that confront young people, joining one of the services is seldom a bad one. NOT doing it more often is.
I believe I made the wrong choice in not joining.
You have my respect and congratulations.

Good luck on your life path, and thank you for making the decision to serve. Our military branches are full of patriots and Good People. I truly believe the Armed Services are a forge of men, and am grateful for that.

No, you won't get fired from the service, broh - but a life sentence in Levenworth is always a possibility.

Best of luck to you.

Simple rule of the Air Force...

If you ain't flyin' the plane, you're sweepin' the runway.

A Lieutenant is the last person to ask about the Air Force. :-)

You can PM me as well, I spent 8 years and just got out in Feb of this year. :-)
