All Cigar Discussion>Help! Pepin's coming to town!

and I don't know which box I want to buy.

So, I'm open to suggestions. I like the blue invictos a lot. Hard to go wrong there. Really digging the 601 lines and Cuabos, but they don't seem to have a lot of punch. I like the JJ maduro, but not in the larger RG. I'm a huge fan of LADCEE in the corona size. :-) Haven't picked up a cuban classic in a while, but I did like them a lot.

I haven't tried My Father (not sure I could afford a box anyway), Tobacos Baez (not a big mild fan), or some of his newer creations.

What Pepin do you think I would enjoy? What are you into right now?

Thanks for your suggestions>>

I'll post a picture of the haul in this thread.

I picked up a box of the Noellas at the Tampa Humidor event (thanks Richie). They are one of my favorites.

Ohhh, forgot about those. Are all noella's rolled in Miami? That's the brown label one I love so much right?

First off, a good number of his "blends" are usually not in any specials. Most Pepin events are strictly for his lines DPG blue, Cuban Classic, JJ's, My Father's and Tobacco Baez's. You may have to buy one of these to get any sort of custom roll.

If you just want to pick up something blended or rolled by him, then I suggest Benchmade. Cheap box but great smokes.

As far as I know they are made in Miami... and yep they are the brown labels.

I'd go blue - can't beat it for the price. The JJ Maduro is a great maduro, actually Don's preference, but it's a little heavy for my liking. The Don Pepin events are nice as they'll typically throw you a 5-pack sampler with any box purchase. Enjoy!

Out of his lines, its the Blue or the JJ, especially the blue generosos with a little settling time on them.

La Riqueza is killer in my book!

I think the blue label fundadores are really classy! :-)

and as others have said, I would assume any promos would only be for his cigars, and would not include the many blends he makes for other companies.

My vote is for the My Fathers, then the Blues.

Enjoyed a Cuban Classic yesterday for lunch. I hadn't had one in at least 6 months, and forgot how tasty they are. :-) I'm kind of burnt out on the blues so I'd go for the CC's if I had to make a choice today. :-)

Have fun at the event, and take lots of pictures!

I had to go with the blue invictos. Thanks for the suggestions, but it's hard to stay away from an old friend!
