At 10.18pm on the 27th of October, my son, Santiago William, made his grand entrance. It was a long road getting here, and after 12 hours at the birthing centre, mom would say the last stretch wasn't quick either. But he's here, he's healthy and he's magnificent.*
Mum and baby are doing well and the three of us have been home since yesterday afternoon. It's all amazing and I'm still in awe.
Soon I hope to fire up a celebratory cigar but right now I'm quite happy with holding him, putting him to sleep and changing the dirty diapers. Funny how that works.
*He's not triple-capped but I trust the source completely. MRN doesn't have notes on the 2011 LE models but Santi has impressed me ROTT. I expect even better things with age.

Lol. Yeah, I've sent a few emails and have to keep switching between my American family and 'mom', our UK friends with 'mum' and her family in Spain with 'mamá'.
For the record, it's Cristina and she's a wonderful mother and I'm very proud of what she was able to accomplish. Santi weighed 4,055kg or 8lbs 15oz (or just shy of 9 pints) depending on the measurements used. ;^)
The midwife was Spanish and had the last name of Castro...

Great news for a great friend. May your life be blessed to the end. My hopes for a young man that defies all
convention, sleeping happily through the night almost immediately and becoming as great a guy as his dad.
