Ok, I think we might be getting on track. Berkman has been killing it lately, totally unexpected IMHO. Also what the hell is with Pujols? Finding his swing, distracted by the contract or has his magic worn off?

Pretty even matchup against L.A tonight, Garcia will show us what he is worth if we pull the win:-)

I think we are getting our S together, great game last night and Pujols seems to have found his swing. Garcia is also taking up the slack from Wainwright, lets go for the SWEEP:-)

Don't know about a sweep. Just glad that they have finally found their bats. Berkman is playing above my expectations. And, I was impressed by how Sanchez pitched the other night. I'm afraid there is a problem with Franklin ... guess it would be unfair and way too premature to even think about Sanchez as a closer?

One can dream my friend. Franklin? Yeah, he needs to find a pitch and stay with it other than a cocky fastball.

The first week of the season they couldn't hit my grandma. Now, everybody is hot at the same time.

Saw this this morning - "They’ve had 14 or more hits in five consecutive games for the first time since Aug. 31-Sept. 7, 1930." Scored over 1,000 runs that season and won the pennant. That was a heck of a team ... Bottomley, Frisch and 10 others with a BA over .300. Btw, Dizzy Dean made his rookie debut in one game at the end of that season.

Not getting excited yet. It's a long season. But, it's nice to be back to .500.

Wow, thats a hell of a stat! I'm pretty excited too after all the frustrations just a week ago. The Cards have been a frustrating team to watch the last couple of years, winning against teams above .500 losing against the weak clubs. Not to mention leaving countless runners on base when their bullpen was pitching great and bringing out the big bats when the bullpen could not produce.

Great game last night for the Cards. We wore Kershaw down to just 5 innings with over 100 pitches. Played well, not sure why Berkman sat out but hope to see him today and get the sweep!

Berkman was 0 for 7 so far this season against lefthanders. Craig did a nice job filling his spot in the line-up ... plus he probably needed a little playing time.

Still amazed at that rookie reiever Sanchez ... he gave up a hit but struck out the side. Has now struck out 8 of the 10 batters he's faced.

These west-cost games are wearing me out ... losing too much beauty sleep. Glad today is a day game.

Tough game today, bats were not there. And I'm about 90% sure Franklin needs to be let out to the pasture.

Some good and bad yesterday against the Nats, Franklin is still not improving but the 2nd game was a relief!

Don't think Franklin appreciated the boos when he gave up a home run (again).

Another good relief outing by Sanchez ... is this guy for real?

Rain delay, good call by Tony not to put McClellan in there and thank God for the rain cause Batista was not ready. Hopefully we will see some ball tonight, GO CARDS!

And we are on top! Good game last night, Reds pitched very well and just let one hang around Molina at the wrong time. Let's keep the ball rolling:-)

If you had told me at the beginning of the season that the Cards would be in first place with Carpenter at 0-2 and Puljois hitting .250, I wouldn't have believed you.
