Is it thermoelectric or compression cooled?

Doesn't mention in the online description, does it? Looks pretty nice. I'm inclined to check it out at our local store.
Given that most of the shelves offered here are for the 28 bottles vinotemp I already have, I could move my wine to the bigger model and convert the older model . . . wheels are turning.

Looks nice but lightning is mentioning something you definitely need to make sure you find out before you buy it. You want it to have the thermoelectric cooling disk. Your kitchen fridge has the traditional compression sytle refrigeration that would suck all the moisture out of your precious cigars. The thermoelectric cooling disk cools the unit using the 'disk' without sucking the moisture from your sticks. Good luck!

Wish I had seen this earlier. I checked at Lowe's before I bought mine in May. They don't have a thermoelectric 28 bottle model.

This is a compressor cooled unit. I was looking at picking one up myself. There are ways around running it nonstop which would remove the moisture from your smokes.

Back from Lowes and Home Depot...
everything they have is compression cooled. So I am back at ground zero again.

There are a few options if you are looking for a comparative model to the Vino 28btl. New Air makes one that IMO is the exact same as the vino, just sold under a different name. The is also humidor solutions model which again looks to be the same exact model as the Vino 28btl. Both of these can be had under $200. There is also craigslist which is notorious for having wine coolers at a great discount.

I think the folks at vinotemp need to offer their super duper deal from this past February, again!?! I know it would make many people happy.

I believe it was around $180 for the Spanish Cedar Trays (3 Double and 2 Singles). I'll have to check P--P--.

With three doubles and two singles...how much space does that leave you for boxes?
