All set on the banks end. Final walk through today and we will hopefully be closing early next week. previous owners have agreed to do pre possession in case we get tight. we have to be out of our apt on the 15th and leave it cleaned. So happy to finally be out on my own with my wife as we truly start our life together.....
There will be a room dedicated to cigar rolling as well haha
:-)

Congratulations Drew! Home ownership is hard, but it's worth it to have a place where you are King.

Congratulations. Brought me back to my first house with my wife and now we are married 30 years. Still have great memories of going through the process to be a first time homeowner. Wish you and your wife all the best. Steve

Congratulations Andrew, there is nothing like getting your first house, it is a moment to remember! I purchased my first house 15 years ago, and I am now on my 4th!

Consider hiring a cleaning crew if the current landlord is going to be hard on cleaning. In my previous moves, I have either paid the new tennant money in lieu of cleaning or just hired a cleaner. With moving out and all that, who wants to spend their time cleaning an apartment they no longer live in?

Congratulations on your new home! Make sure you clean the entire oven. We forgot to do this before we left and they took nearly half our deposit. Funny thing was that, during the final walk-through, they complimented us on how spotlessly clean the rest of the apartment was, but failed to mention that it would benefit us to clean the oven a bit better.
