When this arrived the first thing I noticed was the color. It's not brown at all but a light purple. The leather is of decent thickness and rigidity. It has a very strong smell and it's not your typical pleasant leather aroma. I emailed CH and was advised to let it air out for a few days but it still has that raunchy smell to it. I haven't even put cigars in it but I wouldn't be surprised if it would influence the flavor somewhat.

Here it is next to some normal brown leather.

Has some sort of spatter on it.

It is what it is for $10.99. The humidor I ordered from them was a great bang for the buck. This case, not so much. I'm sending it back. Just a heads up and my :-). :-)

Yeah, that thing looks like it was left out in the sun for a few years. Ebay is a great place to pick up 2-3 finger leather cases. I picked up a sweat Cuban crafters one a while back for $15 shipped, the retail on it is $35. Send it back and hit the bay.

Not that you are looking for recommendations, but Cigar Caddy makes a 2 stick model that's very affordable. I have 5, 10, 15, and 18 stick Cigar Caddies and they all do a great job for what I need.

i was going to recommend the 2 stick cigar caddy as well. I used one recently, and although it is big i got used to it. best part i didn't have to worry about humidity from being in a sweaty pocket :-). I was looking at a leather 2 finger case as well and was worried that the leather would add flavors to the cigars.

Looks to be low grade immported chromium tanned leather.
The stink might go away in 10-15 years.

PS at CigarSolutions.com the 5 stick caddy is actually $1 less expensive than the 2 stick right now. And the owner of CigarSolutions is a BOTL here, I think his SN is RonC. He has always done right by me and his custom Cigar Caddy trays are especially awesome.

Cigar caddies are great, but somestimes a nice leather case is needed. I use mine when going out to evens like weddings, fancy dinners, etc.

:-)I would be sending that thing right on back for a refund. Obviously some sort of 2nd or reject. I am not a cheaphumidors fan anyway, got a humi there that looked very nice for the money but want hold humidity for anything.
