Man, this thing was a shockingly good cigar for the money. Im gonna be buying more of these to keep around.
Had a really dark spice flavor. Hard to place the flavor exactly, maby like a real deep nutmeg/cinnamon flavor........not sure.
Real deep dark chocolate flavor at times.
I loved this cigar.

After I read up on them, I think the flavors I was trying to place was the espresso and cedar. First the deep spice of the espresso kicked in then it finished with a lingering sweet cedar taste.

Which Vitola did you smoke?

There goes the neighborhood......
:-)
I smoke these almost daily. I love them and have picked up around 100 in the last few weeks. I will say the bigger vitolas are better (IMO) than the "50's".
I have a hunch these will be harder to get for cheap soon.
:-)
Oh yea...The boxes of 50's are out of stock at CI FYI. I'm back ordered on them.
Open mouth insert foot.....
:-)

These are a great cigar for the price you can find them at.

Too bad they don't have a corona size (RG 44-47). Thanks for the review!

I've only had the coronas and haven't been all that impressed. I've probably bought 6 or 8 of the 'Clown car samplers' from cbid - 1844 is my least favorite. Not awful, but hardly memorable.
The other ten cigars in the sampler are much better, IMHO. But at $2 per, I'm not complaining

A cigar doesn't have to be a certain RG to be good does it?
:-)
I do tend to like thinner cigars too but in the case of the 1844 the bigger ones have been better IMO.
FYI. CI is now sold out of all vitolas.

someone just snagged a 10 pack of the 60's for $24 and some odd cents.
It was hard but they can be had for much less. I'm holding out.

I agree, corona, lancero or true churchill (7 x 47) would be interesting. I have not had one yet, but I am game.
