Hey folks, any suggestions on how to get a tight bit back into the stem?
I just refurbed a bunch of estates and having such an issue with several of them.

Couple of things. How were they before the refurb? First it might be that the pipes are swelled with moisture right now and time might be the key. If that isn't the case sometimes a very light rub of wax will get the stem to seat. If that doesn't work very very light sanding with high grit sandpaper would do it. Careful to test fit alot with that.

Good luck

Good advice. I'll let them rest for a bit as see if that does it.

really if they're still too tight, just 3 or 4 twists of a light sand paper is enough.
